What is Cellular matrix?
The Cellular matrix contains fibers, Cellular fluid (e.g. blood, lymph, tissue fluid) and cells dispersed throughout.
All the cells of the human body are contained in the Cellular fluid. This constitutes the micro-environment of cell survival-providing support, protection, connection and nourishment of the cells.
The Cellular fluid contains → all the substances required for cell metabolism: oxygen and nutrients.
→ metabolic waste produced by cells: carbon dioxide and other metabolic waste
That is, the cell and the Cellular matrix are continuously exchanged. It absorbs nutrients and oxygen. It discharges metabolic waste and carbon dioxide. In order to prevent cells from being destroyed by their own metabolic waste products, the Cellular fluid must be constantly flowing and renewed.
